A full internal renovation of a historic manor, combining structural updates, modern services, and high-end finishes with the careful restoration of original features.
The project involves reconfiguring the layout, upgrading key living spaces, and integrating new materials, all while maintaining the integrity of the existing structure.
Our Approach
We approached this project with a focus on respecting what’s there, while upgrading what matters.
Works include a full internal reconfiguration, new kitchen installation, upgraded bedrooms, and integration of modern systems such as electrics, plumbing, and insulation, all carried out alongside the restoration of original features.
Existing elements like stonework, shutters, and historic details are being carefully refurbished, while new additions are designed to sit naturally within the building.

New kitchen installation with contrasting natural materials.
Egyptian limestone flooring in kitchen, paired with Irish oak in adjoining spaces.
Irish oak sourced from a single tree, used consistently across the home.
Dining area feature ceiling with wrap and dry lining.
Custom false beams to enhance architectural character.
New staircase installation leading to a reading room/library space.
Bespoke joinery doors overlooking the river.
Bedrooms fully upgraded throughout.
Original windows and shutters carefully restored and retained.
Integration of modern electrics, plumbing, and insulation.
Preservation of period features including servant bells and original detailing.
Wine cellar incorporated within the overall design.

This project is still underway, but the direction is clear, a home that respects its history while being built for how it will be used today.
The balance between old and new is intentional. Original features remain a key part of the space, while the updated layout, materials, and finishes bring the level of comfort and practicality expected in a modern home.
